Seven Things

It's been months I last shared some of the posts that pop up in my blog reader. And that's a shame.

And so, in no particual order, here are 7 things that I love. As usual, my favourites skew towards the funny.

Thing One

How To Get a Hipster on Verbal Vomit is laugh-out-loud funny. I'm new to her blog, and I love her already. (Confession: I don't really know what a hipster is, despite reading about them all over the interwebs. But I'm going to laugh at them anyway.)

Thing Two

Unstructured time, or, don't unplug that TV just yet: a cautionary tale on MannahattaMamma is a funny, light-hearted post about independent creative kids...and how much easier life would be if they just watched TV instead.

Thing Three

A whole lot of no babies coming out of me on Creative Devolution has - bar none - the best illustration of women pumping out babies that I've ever seen. And now I'm laughing again just thinking about it. Here, look:

The rest of the post is just as funny.

Thing Four

Don't you hate it when you're at a party, and someone hands you a tooth, and then she forgets to pick it up before leaving? Yeah, me too. Check out The Tooth on Books of Adam.

Thing Five

Gweenbrick is beginning to see the light. The Prozac Man's in town!

Thing Six

The following is a very Not Safe For Work link. (No, seriously. Don't click on it if you're bothered by swearing. Or descriptions of sex. Or spoofs of allegedly badly-written mommy porn.)

Gilbert Gottfried Reads Fifty Shades of Grey. I can't even tell you why this is so funny. But I laughed and laughed and laughed until my stomach hurt. (Did I mention that it's not safe for work?)

Thing Seven

I've gotten shout-outs from some really amazing bloggers over the past few months. While I don't pass on awards, I always appreciate being recognized. Thank you so much for your support!

And just a comment...

You might notice that I won't be replying to every single comment anymore. It was getting overwhelming, and I'm pretty sure no one ever came back to read them anyway. I will still respond to any questions, and also to some comments (especially if you don't have a blog, or if I can't comment on your blog for whatever reason), but not all of them. I figure that people would prefer that I visit and comment on their blogs, rather than just responding to them here, and I get overwhelmed trying to do both. I do read and love and reread every word you write here, though! Thanks, as always, for reading!

Happy Wednesday everyone!
