Treasures to Dig Through

I haven't put up a sharing post in a month, so I have a lot of links for you today.

Question: how many is too many when it comes to sharing links? Do you get overwhelmed by long lists like this one and just leave, or do you like having lots of treasures to dig through? Would you prefer that I link to other sites more frequently in smaller batches (maybe weekly?), or do you like having longer lists once or twice a month? Or maybe you never click on any links regardless, in which case you don't care and probably aren't even reading this. I'd love to hear your thoughts, whatever they are!

And now for the stuff:

Martha Stewart Lives in my Head
MOV has a voice in her head that whispers dangerously seductive thoughts: collect those pinecones. You can spraypaint them silver. She can fight it all she likes, but we all know that the inner Martha will not be silenced.

A Squirrel Love Story
Lindsey has wild squirrels nesting in her window at work. And despite the fact that urban squirrels are creepy and probably plotting our doom, the time-lapse photography of the little guy building his nest made me feel all gooey on my insides. (See also Kid Vs Adult Christmas Morning, a laugh-out-loud funny illustrated post.)

Gronk: a Monster's Story
This new-to-me handdrawn webcomic tells the story of Gronk, an adorable little monster trying to live in a human world. Very, very cute. If you hate cute, then consider yourself warned.

Commander Chris Hadfield's Twitter account
Join well over 180 000 people who already follow Commander Hadfield on Twitter. Commander Hadfield is currently orbiting Earth on the International Space Station. He regularly posts pictures of Earth from space and life aboard the ISS. He's also pretty much the coolest person alive.

How a Weekend Sale at the Mall Made Me Feel Like a Granny
Hollister: for the impossibly tall, impossibly thin and impossibly good-looking. Another funny illustrated post from Abby.

Unf*** Your Habitat
I love this tumblr. Love. It makes me want to clean stuff, which is a minor miracle in and of itself. F-bombs, people. Lots and lots of f-bombs, some of them in sparkle text. Don't click if that bothers you.

Quiet Laughter - Choose Your Own Apocalypse
The world still exists. But there's no one paying attention. This beautifully-written and thought-provoking post by Guilie made me feel a bit sad and unsettled. In a good way.

My Teenage Rebellion
How do you rebel against a mother who's done it all? Why, join the Young Republicans, of course!

A Phone-Shaped Hole
A devastating loss leaves Kristin with a phone-shaped hole in her heart. Laugh-out-loud funny post with fabulous illustrations.

The Little People Project
Every time that a new Little People installation pops up in my reader, I'm excited. The posts are few and far between, which make them all the sweeter. This latest one is gory. And also awesome.

The Pope is Tweeting
This post went up on The Oatmeal before Christmas, and the whole world has already seen it multiple times since then.
